NEWS FOR THE NEW SEASON 2009-10

I am very pleased to announce that I have taken over the mantle of first team manager at Rotherham United. Ladies F.C.  for the season 2009-10.

The club has been relegated from the National Women’s League Northern Division, back into the Midlands Combination League.

When I first took over 3 years ago, I guided the club into the above National League for the first time in their history and I intend on bringing the good times back to Rotherham from where I left them.

To aspire to my goal will take an awful lot of hard work for everyone involved in the club and we must all “pull together” and strive forward.

I will leave “no stone unturned” in bringing the pride back to Rotherham United. L.F.C. and ensuring that the players begin to enjoy their training and matches, with a smile back on their faces.

Those of you that already know me also know that I’ll be “hard” on all of you and expect you to reach specific levels of intensity and commitment, but rest assured, we’ll have a lot of fun getting there.

I have been working very hard over the past weeks acquiring a complete new “staff” to help me with my new job, and it gives me pleasure to inform all of you that the following people have accepted my invitation to join me:

Rose Nash  -  First team Goal Keeping Coach and Assistant to me.

Adrian Hotson  -  First Team Physiotherapist.

Mark Boot  -   First Team Coach

I have selected the above three people after intense searches and interviews and I am very confident that they will play a major part in our future success.

When we start training on Sunday 28th. June 2009 let’s all arrive prepared, mentally and physically for the hard work that’ll begin that day.

Let me reassure you that I shall commit my time and effort, my newly appointed staff will commit their time and effort, and all I ask is that you do the same.

There will be a “training transport co-ordinator” appointed very soon, from my playing staff, who will be your contact with regards to any problems in getting a lift to training.

I will contact all of you in the near future with all the relevant details regarding training times and exactly where in Worksop it’ll take place.

Please all be aware I shall be using the e-mail and the web site for a lot of my communications and so it’s imperative you check both on a regular basis.

www.rulfc.co.uk  is your web site and so please think fit to use it.

The message board is working and let’s ensure that the “banter” is good, clean and fun.

It’s up to all of us to “dreg” the club out of the doldrums” and the web site is our “flagship” for the rest of the country to see us.

If you want anything put on the site please contact John Davison, who by the way has produced this exceptional well presented site on his own, on admin@rulfc.co.uk

Looking forward to a successful season.

Paul.

"We’ve been thrilled to see the growing numbers of young girls and women across the country who have been getting involved in all levels of the game this season, and with Hope Powell’s team qualifying for the European Championships in Finland later this summer, we’re hopeful that we’ll have much more to celebrate this year.”
