The ladies continue there search for there first win in the Tesco National Premiership, and were disappointing conceeding six goals against Nottingham Forest. The Millers were caught cold when Forest opened the scoring with a goal direct from the first corner of the game after only 4 mins.
The opening 10 mins went from bad to worse when Forest capitalised on a poor back pass from newcomer Jones which resulted in Millers keeper Whiteley pulling down the opposition forward to give a penalty away. Whiteley was lucky to only see a yellow card for the offense and was unable to prevent the penalty from being converted.

The ladies raised their game and Lynskey scored on 22 mins to give the Millers hope of turning round the poor start. Forest ladies were much stronger in every department, playing one touch flowing football and went onto to take a three goal lead (4 – 1) into half time.
Rotherham returned from a sturn half time team talk and started to compete for every challenge. They looked more able to match Forest physical game.

The Millers came close to scoring twice seeing shots cleared off the line, from corners delivered by Lynskey. Forest broke quickly and played a long ball out from defence which caught out the Millers fullback (Sloan) and the forward was able to beat the keeper at the near post.
Rotherham wingers Hanson and Woods looked dangerous, and Woods was rewarded for her hard work when she lobbed the keeper from the edge of the box (5 – 2).
Probably the best goal came only a minute later when Forest played one touch football from the defence resulting in a excellent volley from the edge of the Millers box. Lynskey scored a concellation goal on 90 mins when she was able to break free and shot low past the keeper into the bottom corner of the net.

Final score Millers 3 Forest 6.
A much better performance from the Millers in the second half, and a belief around the team that they have the experience and talent to do better in the games to come. The ladies travel to Preston next Sunday in search of there first points of the season.
