Manager Paul Durrands shares his words with you…….
"I wondered if we can put into prospective what we have achieved so far this season. Take a look at league table below and take it in. Played 15, won 12, drawn 3, lost NIL.
If you'd have told me last September that this would be our position 6 months later, I'd have snapped your hand off and left the country.
I believe that we have produced nothing short of a miracle, so far this season, when you bare in mind the average age of our squad is just 19 years.
Hardly any of the players have ever been in this situation, top of the league, there to be shot at, and every game being a "cup final", and because of this pressure I'm proud of what we have all achieved together.
What you ladies must always remember is "form can be lost anytime, but class is permanent".
Pressure does the strangest of things to an individual and spreads like wildfire around the team in minutes, but you must always keep it in your minds that you can control your minds with positive thoughts.
When we play football, we are the best team in this league, I have no doubts of that, but people must understand, especially outside the club, that youth have to learn by their mistakes, but we don't seem to be able to give them chance to make a mistake as pressure is heaped upon us all very quickly.
Our future is completley in our own hands and we'll worry about no one, but let's take this challenge on "head on" and show any doubters that you can achieve what you want, in this life, if you really want it".
