Wolverhampton Wanderers L.F.C. 1 .v. 4 Rotherham Utd. L.F.C.
Rotherham travelled the long journey to Wolverhampton last Sunday and came away with all three points from a really good overhaul team performance. The Millers took early advantage of good possession and went in front after only 5 minutes when Hayley "Woody" Wood burst down the right and finished with a good shot into the bottom right hand corner with the home keeper well beaten.
The same player extended the lead 5 minutes later with a 25 yard cross/shot that the Wolves keeper never really got covered.Zuuzie Pramukova netted the Millers third, 10 minutes later and from then onwards, they never really looked back.
Wolves had quite a lot of possession in the final 20 minutes of the first half and scored just before half time after a bad mistake by Charlie Whiteley in the visitors goal.
This didn't stop Rotherham , in the second half, calving numerous chances, at will, and if Zuzzie had her "shooting boots on" the Millers would have notched up 3 or 4 more until Helen Lynskey sealed off a fine team effortwith her first and Rotherham's fourth.
This was an excellent performance from Rotherham Ladies who changed their style and tactics and looked a lot stronger side than in recent weeks, with Amy Pollock being in "awesome" form at the heart of the visitors defence.
Scorers: Hayley Wood (2), Helen Lynskey & Zuzzie Pramukova.
Next game Sunday 25/4/10 at home against T.N.S. k.o. 2pm
